The idea for Chicago’s Got Style came into being one day when I was reading the street-style blog of a well-known fashion magazine (whose name will be courteously left anonymous) and came across a rather scathing comment about fashion in Chicago–or the supposed lack thereof.  Of course you and I know that that Ms. Fancy Pants fashion journalist simply wasn’t looking hard enough!

And so, my goal is simple: to seek out and show-off this city’s most fashionable inhabitants of all shapes, sizes, and styles.

(I’ll throw in a little fashion commentary too!)

PS: A Note on Comments

Lisa Lenoir, former Fashion Editor for the Chicago Sun-Times, once remarked that the purpose of fashion is to bring people up, not tear them down.  I took these wise words to heart and I wish for them to be representative of Chicago’s Got Style. 

Therefore, I ask that all snarky comments be shared only with your girlfriends sitting next to you as you browse the blog!  Any particularly rude or tasteless posts will be deleted.
