Giving is Glam
Why do you still have that tiara from senior prom? Do you really think you’re ever going to wear it again? And how about those black non-skid shoes you wore while you waitress-ed your way through college? Just collecting dust bunnies.
Well clean out your closets, ladies and gents! This weekend you can give away your old duds to three very good causes, while earning discounts to use for new ones at the 900 Shops’ “Share and Shop” event. On the 6th floor of 900 North Michigan Avenue, donation centers will be set up for Dress for Success, Share Your Soles, and The Glass Slipper Project– all perfect donees for those with over-stuffed closets.
Dress for Success is a non-profit that provides new and gently used career wear to underprivileged women, and Share Your Soles sends new and nearly new shoes to the shoeless around the globe. The Glass Slipper Project is looking for formal dresses, shoes, and accessories to outfit high school juniors and seniors who would otherwise not be able to afford their dream prom night.
Ready for the really good part? As well as getting the warm-fuzzies that come with helping others, you collect a 15% off Savings Pass for every item you donate; each is good for one item at participating stores.
Yours truly will be there bright and early on Saturday with clothes to donate and camera to snap all the fabulous givers. Hope to see you!

Such an awesome sale, had no idea this was happening! Going to post it on IFB’s “Chicago Fashion Bloggers” discussion page! Thanks Anna!
No, thank you! Love that you are interesting in spreading the word!
