Cloudy with a Chance of Stilettos

Today I thought I’d change things up and let everyone in on one of my favorite spots on the interwebs:

Imagine if picking out the perfect outfit was as easy was turning on the morning news.  What if the weatherman reported on the freezing temps and the fashion trends?  Now, pretend that these trend forecasts were tailored to your own personal tastes.  Sound a little pie-in-the-sky?

StyleCaster, as it’s name may suggest, is a website that does all the afore mentioned, and more.  The site describes it’s self as “a fashion social network where influencers connect with each other, explore the world of style, share content and get recommendations from peers and experts around the world.”   And yes, when you become a member, you are asked to give your locale for forecasting purposes!
 

Every day that a stylecaster logs in, they are presented with the weather report, as well as three appropriate looks, styled by the site’s own team of stylists and photographed on models who are members of the community.  If you love ‘em, you can give them your heart–literally–and they will appear on your personal page to be viewed by others.  Or do some shopping around the site and fill your virtual closet with your fabulous finds.  Post pictures of whatever tickles your fancy on your Inspiration Board.

The more activities you do around the site, the more personalized your experience will become.  Can’t get enough of Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany’s?  You’ll notice your daily looks reflecting that simple elegance.  Fancy yourself more of a Marilyn?  Expect to see styles that are on the saucier side.   

The ultimate goal is to perfect your own fashion image by pinpointing your sartorial likes and dislikes.   That means less “Why the hell did I buy this?” moments, and more room in your closet for things that are totally “you”.
